Catholic Schools Week

Last week we celebrated Catholic Schools Week, each day filled with some fun activity or project that we greatly enjoyed!

During the week we learned about, and showed our appreciation for, all of the people who make it possible for us to have our Catholic education at Holy Souls.  One of the groups we showed our appreciation for were local service men who help keep us safe.  PreK B made thank you cards for the local fire department!

Two fire fighters even came to our classroom to pick them up!

Last week we focused our alphabet studies on the letter P.  We painted purple parrots,

made pink pigs,

imagined our dream pet,

and made PURPLE PANCAKES!!!
Everyone had a job measuring, pouring, cracking eggs, stirring, or adding the color.  They all had such fun cooking their special treat they didn't realize they were practicing their math skills!
Eli was extra excited!

We all agreed that purple pancakes taste MUCH better than regular pancakes!

Friday was the most special day of the week, Friends and Family day!  We were so thankful to have so many people come and enjoy lunch with us!

Thank you so much for making our week so wonderful and sharing your children with me and with Holy Souls!
