What a busy few weeks we have had in PreK B! Lots of activities around the school, preparing for our program, and learning all about habitats!
After learning that a habitat provides food, water, shelter, and protection for different animals we sorted animals into their habitats.
We sorted needs and wants in our own habitat of home and school.
We discussed the differences in habitats above and below ground.
We learned about different plants and vegetables that grow below and above ground.
We painted with different vegetables, separating them by the parts we eat, the tops or bottoms.
We even made our own garden!
We learned all about animals that live above the ground in the skies.
I just love the adorable birds the kids made during our guided drawing lesson!
We practiced our graphing skills as we learned about animals who live in the sea.
We also practiced our measuring skills with yummy goldfish snacks.
While learning about different habitats, we allowed our classroom to be one to 5 little Painted Lady caterpillars! We watched them eat their fill of food, spin chrysalis, learn to use their wings, and make their new home in the Holy Souls butterfly garden.
We welcomed our fourth grade friend Luke back to school after he courageously won his battle with brain cancer. Lots of love from prek B for this brave, sweet boy!
We loved celebrating Children's Book Week! Hats, silly socks, sunglasses, and teddy bears all made our week so much fun!
PreK B has kept the The Tooth Fairy very busy lately!
Cameron lost 2 teeth in the same day!
Mary Millicent and Tyler lost a tooth on the same day!
and Tyler lost his second tooth a few days later!
What fun we have had together!
