Hoots LOVE Apples!

This past week we started learning all about apples! We made three crafts and one yummy treat, take a look at all of our fun!

Our first craft was our torn tissue paper apples.  Tearing paper is a wonderful fine motor skill and helps build bilateral stability, a skill used in cutting, tying shoes, and writing.
Look how great they turned out! Our own little "stained glass" masterpieces.

Our second craft used our shape of the week, the square.  Each child was given a handful of squares to glue to their paper plate apple.  It was great to see all of the creativity and individuality in the patterning.  We now have a beautiful canopy of apples hanging above our classroom!

Our third and final craft of the week was painting apples for our September bulletin board.  PreK is a bushel of fun!

Our tasty treat of the week was mini apple pies!  It was just as fun to assemble them as it was to eat them.  Don't be afraid to let your little Hoot help in the kitchen, cooking is a great life skill to learn at an early age!

Friday was our first free dress day of the year.  Look at all of our cute Hoots dressed in their Red and White showing their Wabbit pride!
Mrs. Baker and Henry were even twinkies!

Friday was also another big day in the fact that it was our first pep rally as Wabbits!
(I promise we had more fun than what this picture lets on, it was just so HOT!)

We celebrated Kaylee's 5th birthday on Thursday.  Happy birthday sweet girl and thank you Mr. and Mrs. Phan for the wonderful birthday treats and goodie bags!
