Boosterthon

The Hoots of PreK B were so excited to participate in Holy Souls' fundraiser, Boosterthon!

We kicked off the two week long festivities with a Pep Rally to meet all of our Boosterthon helpers.  We had a blast dancing, and cheering, and playing on our air guitars!

Each day one of the Boosterthon Helpers came and talked to us about the daily character challenge.  We learned to: Plug In To Serve others through our actions, Amplify Others with our words, Listen for Feedback so we can do better, Play Hard at recess and during extra curricular activities, and to Thank Your Crowd for supporting us.

As we we collected pledges, we watched our class Pledge-O-Meter increase and we earned class incentives.  We enjoyed extra center time, extra recess time, bringing a stuffed animal for nap time, getting to wear hats, silly socks, and sunglasses to school as well as a popsicle party!

Thank goodness for such awesome snack helpers who helped us all get cleaned up, those popsicles were awfully messy!

The morning of the run might have been rainy but that didn't dampen our spirits, were were ready to run!

First we patiently listened to the rules that would help keep us safe.

Then it was time for the girls to run!  Mrs. Straessle and I had our hands full trying to keep up with all of the laps everyone ran, the Hoots were just so fast!

While the boys waited for their turn to run they did an awesome job cheering on girls!

After the girls ran it was time for the boys to take the floor!

Everyone did an AMAZING job running 30-35 laps!  Holy Souls collected pledges that totaled 98% of our $33,000 goal.  PreK B collected pledges for $3,210, almost 10% of the school's goal!  

Way to go PreK B!!!
